Dates and times will be subject to change due to weather and flower availability. Please check in on our Instagram and Facebook Pages for daily updates especially if you are traveling a distance to get here. Weather in your area may be different than that at the farm. You may try to contact us by phone at 845-489-8368. However, if we are onsite by the fields, cell phone service is not always available.

This is a working farm. Please only visit during the designated dates and times announced for this event. There is no visiting outside of those times. There may be other fields visible but not open to the public. These are our production fields and not for picking or photos. We ask that you respect which fields to explore. Our fields are surrounded by electric fencing which will be active during off hours. We do not want anyone to get hurt.

Location: Fields will be off Sleight Plass Road in Pleasant Valley. Signs will be on the road directing where to go and our banner will be out by the entrance. Signs and banners will not be up until the event dates. If using a navigation system to get to us, you may use 235 Sleight Plass Road (Pleasant Valley). Please note that this address is NOT the entrance to the fields, but you may use this to lead you to the correct entrance. The field entrance is not recognized by navigation systems. There will be several “Sunflower Field” signs guiding you on where to enter. If you reach 235 Sleight Plass Road, there will be a sign at that driveway directing you to the next driveway. The road to get to the location is a winding road. Please drive carefully. If our main lot is full, we will have a satellite lot across the street.

Once you arrive at the farm, please park your car and check in at the tent. There you will be instructed on how to get to the fields and which ones are open. We encourage patrons to bring their own clippers. Our clippers will be sanitized after each use but will be limited in supply.

Flower picking: $3.50 each or fill a bucket for $35.00. Your flowers will be prepared for safe transport home if you choose not to purchase the actual bucket (Additional $7 fee for bucket).

We love our Sunflowers and so do the BEES. Please be aware that there will be a lot of bees in our fields. They are doing their job so please do not disturb them and they will likely not disturb you. You may also find some of our animal friends in the fields like deer, wild turkey and other creatures lurking about.

The path to the field does require walking. Some fields are easier to get to than others. We cannot guarantee which field location will be open on what date. We suggest you wear comfortable shoes, bug spray and sunscreen. Heels of any kind are highly discouraged. We do have a golf cart for anyone that needs assistance getting to the fields.
Be on the lookout for poison ivy, poison sumac and other plants that may cause irritations. They do exist on the property.
Please do not pick flowers that are not in bloom.  Flowers that are in bloom will contain yellow pollen that may stain clothes. HVCPO is not liable for any damage to clothing.
We are a dog friendly farm. To keep it this way we ask that you clean up after your pet. In addition, dogs must be always kept on a leash.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

There will be food and beverages available for purchase on site. We will be firing up the grill with items like burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers and sausage & peppers (subject to availability) Thursdays through Sundays. In addition, we will be serving Sloop and Millhouse beer, Millbrook wines and Merchant’s Daughter hard cider. Outside alcoholic beverages are NOT allowed to be brought onto the property. Light snacks will be available Monday, Tuesday & Wednesdays. There will be Adirondack chairs and a few picnic tables for patrons to use. We welcome you to bring your own outdoor chairs or picnic blankets to stay and enjoy the view. Don’t miss out on our amazing sunsets.
While your flowers are being prepared to take home, stop by our main tent to see what we do with our Sunflowers. We have sunflower oil for cooking, Gluten-Free baking products, and skin care. In addition, we have Sunflower merchandise. You are welcome to sit and enjoy the view and pick up your flowers just before leaving. Fields will close approximately 30 minutes before sunset.
Sunflowers are not only beautiful; they are healthy and delicious!

Photographers: We welcome photographers to our fields for photo shoots. Please note we cannot guarantee when the flowers will be in bloom and there may be closure due to field or weather conditions. Photo shoots are during our normal business hours. No exceptions. If you are coming at 5:00pm or after, Thursday -Sunday, there will be our standard $5.00 admission fee for each car. You and your clients are welcome to stay after the shoot. Please advise your clients to wear proper footwear to get to the fields. We recommend sharing the above information with them, so they are best prepared to be at the farm.

Starting working for Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oils in 2015. Along with her husband Jeff, a title is hard to come by. I am the organizer of the company. I plan on and off premise events as well as run the inside sales. You’ll often find me baking our fresh baked breads. I’m always thinking about what’s next and enjoy coming up with fresh ideas for the company. The best part of my job is working in a Sunflower field with my best friend, the guy with the big black hat.

Worked in various notable restaurants and hotels in the Washington DC region, followed by a career in food sales with Chefs Warehouse. Started with Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oils in 2017. I am a people person and love to talk to others about our products, their lives and the world around us. I prefer not to have a title. You can find me at the farm producing our products, in a restaurant or retail store talking shop with a Chef or Owner, and on the road delivering. I enjoy experimenting with new recipes and product development. I’m the guy with the big black hat.
