While our sunflower fields are looking beautiful, the flowers won’t be quite ready for picking during opening weekend. As a working farm, bloom times are determined by Mother Nature, and we’re giving the fields a little more time to reach their peak.

The good news? Opening weekend will still be filled with plenty to enjoy!

Beginning at 4:30 PM, join us for:

  • Live music from talented local musicians
  • Delicious food fresh off the grill
  • Local beer, wine, and cider
  • Our Pop-Up Shop featuring Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oils products, sunflower merchandise, complimentary tastings, and more

We’ll announce the start of sunflower picking as soon as the fields are ready. Thank you for your patience—we promise they’re worth the wait!

Our gates officially open on Thursday, August 6!

We’re hopeful our sunflowers will be ready for picking, but bloom times are up to Mother Nature. If the flowers aren’t quite ready, join us beginning at 4:30 PM for live music, delicious food fresh off the grill, locally crafted beer, wine, and cider, and our Pop-Up Shop.

As soon as the fields are ready for picking, we’ll share updates on our website and social media.

$5 admission per car after 4:30 PM

Live music begins at approximately 5:30 PM, giving you time to explore the fields, enjoy dinner, and shop before the music starts.

We’re proud to feature talented local musicians playing everything from country to classic rock.

Planning to stay? Bring a lawn chair! Adirondack chairs and picnic tables are available, but seating is limited.

Please note: Sunflower picking and photography in the fields end at 7:30 PM, but you’re welcome to stay and enjoy the music, food, drinks, and sunset.

  • Pick Your Own Sunflowers
  • $3.50 per sunflower
  • $35 fills one of our farm buckets

We’ll provide everything you need!

  • Clippers are available, or bring your own.
  • Farm buckets are provided while picking.
  • Take your bucket home for $7.
  • To keep pricing fair, only farm buckets may be used for bucket purchases.

Enjoy hot food fresh off the grill along with locally crafted beer, wine, and hard cider.

As the home of Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oils, our farm is where the journey begins. We grow sunflowers to produce our premium sunflower oil and naturally gluten-free sunflower flour, which we use to create many of the products you’ll find in our Pop-Up Shop.

You’ll discover our farm-made sunflower oil, gluten-free baking mixes, handcrafted skincare products, sunflower-inspired gifts, apparel, home décor, seasonal merchandise, and more.

Giving Back

A portion of the proceeds from our Sunflower Picking Event benefits Sparrow’s Nest, helping support local families in our community.

Photography Sessions

Our sunflower fields provide a beautiful setting for portraits and special occasions.

Professional photography sessions outside of regular event hours are available by appointment.

Planning Your Visit

Our Fields

Our sunflower fields bloom on nature’s schedule. Throughout the season, we open different fields as they reach peak bloom, giving every guest the best picking experience possible.

Some fields are a short walk from parking, while others require a little more walking. If accessibility is important, feel free to call before your visit to ask which field is open that day. 

What to Bring

We recommend bringing:

  • Comfortable, closed-toe shoes
  • Water
  • Natural bug spray (also available in our Pop-Up Shop)
  • A lawn chair for evening music

Bees

Bees and other beneficial pollinators are a natural part of our sunflower fields. If you have a bee allergy or are uncomfortable around bees, please plan accordingly.

Pets

Dogs are welcome! Please keep them leashed and clean up after them.

Outside Alcohol

Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

As a licensed establishment, your cooperation helps us continue offering local beer, wine, cider, and live music each season.

John Haight

Former IBMer, John is the Patriarch of the family. Loves to chat up a good story and listen to yours. But don’t turn your back, as he might be gone. He has been known to leave without notice. You can often find him driving around delivering our products throughout the Hudson Valley. His partner in crime, Cheryl works for the Wappingers Court system and can sometimes be found accompanying him on deliveries. He has much pride for his family and often refers to his 3 grandchildren, Claudia, Delaney and Colin as his legacy.

Allison Haight

Born and raised on Long Island. Graduated the Culinary Institute of America in 1994. Worked for 20 years in the food and beverage industry including over 10 years for renowned Chef, Bob Kinkead. Starting working for Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oils in 2015. Along with her husband Jeff, a title is hard to come by. I am the organizer of the company. I plan on and off premise events as well as run the inside sales. You’ll often find me baking our fresh baked breads. I’m always thinking about what’s next and enjoy coming up with fresh ideas for the company. The best part of my job is working in a Sunflower field with my best friend, the guy with the big black hat.

Jeffrey Haight

Born and raised in the Hudson Valley. Graduated the Culinary Institute of America in 1996. Worked in various notable restaurants and hotels in the Washington DC region, followed by a career in food sales with Chefs Warehouse. Started with Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oils in 2017. I am a people person and love to talk to others about our products, their lives and the world around us. I prefer not to have a title. You can find me at the farm producing our products, in a restaurant or retail store talking shop with a Chef or Owner, and on the road delivering. I enjoy experimenting with new recipes and product development. I’m the guy with the big black hat.

Traci Haight

- Co-Owner and Nutrition Consultant

Registered Dietitian working for 23 years in the Early Intervention Program optimizing nutrition status of medically fragile children with development delays. Owner of Nutrition Works, Inc., integrative private nutrition practice, serving infants, children and adults since 2004. Nutrition Consultant for Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oil products.

Kevin Haight

- Founder and Co-Owner

Born and raised in the Hudson valley, small business owner for 30 plus years. Dedicated conservation volunteer and advocate for the Arlington Central School District community. Founder of Hudson Valley Cold Pressed Oils. In charge of farming and oil production. Often found playing on his tractor.
